Toys“R”Us is coming to Oviedo Mall this fall as a year-round store

Toys“R”Us is coming to Oviedo Mall. WFTV reported it "according to an announcement from the mall Wednesday", in a report dated "September 30, 2026 at 10:44 pm EDT". In a release, the mall said "the upcoming store will be a year-round location", as reported by WKMG News 6.

What changed

• A new store, announced. We found no report that it has opened, and the brand's store feed lists no Oviedo store. "Oviedo Mall said the toy retailer will open a location at the mall this fall, ahead of the holiday shopping season."
• Year-round, per the mall's release: "the upcoming store will be a year-round location".
• What the mall said: "Getting to welcome Toys’R’Us to Oviedo Mall year-round feels incredibly special," "said Marketing & Events Director Josh Gunderson".
• Part of a national rollout. In a separate report on September 21, WKMG News 6 said the company's expansion "will bring the total number of standalone Toys“R”Us stores nationwide to 160", "opening through a partnership with Go! Retail Group". No source says how big the Oviedo store will be; Orlando Weekly guesses "likely more KB Toys-sized".

When

• Expected this fall. The early October the mall hinted at has passed. We found no opening date and no report of an opening on Nov. 4, 2026. The feed behind the brand's store locator grew from 504 stores on Oct. 5 to 587 on Nov. 4, with three more in Florida, and lists none in Oviedo. FOX 35 on Oct. 1: "An official opening date has not yet been announced, but in the release officials hinted at an "early October" timeframe."
• Hours and opening events: "Other information, such as store hours and opening celebrations, has not been provided at this time."

Where

Oviedo Mall, in Oviedo.

What it means if you live here

• The area already has smaller Toys“R”Us shops. FOX 35: "There are also about 400 smaller Toys "R" Us shops inside Macy's stores nationwide." The brand's own store locator lists four in the Orlando area: "Toys“R”Us at Macy's Altamonte Mall", "Toys“R”Us at Macy's Florida Mall", "Toys“R”Us at Macy's Orlando Fashion Square" and "Toys“R”Us at Macy's The Mall at Millenia".
• There is also an airport shop. WKMG News 6, citing the company, reported "two new airport shop-in-shop locations at Orlando International Airport. The first opened in August, while a second location is scheduled to open in summer 2027". Orlando Weekly instead calls it "the planned shoplet at MCO".
• Check before you go. We found no opening day, so the store may not be open yet when you visit.
