Tiana's Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom closed Nov. 2 for refurbishment

Tiana's Bayou Adventure closed for refurbishment on Monday, Nov. 2, 2026. WDW News Today, at the ride that day, reported that "the ride had officially closed for refurbishment".

Disney's attraction page, read again on Nov. 3, still reads in the future tense: "Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will temporarily close for routine refurbishment on November 2 and is expected to reopen in December 2026."

What changed

• The ride closed on Nov. 2. WDW News Today saw it closed that day, with a rope across the entrance and no water running. Disney's own page gave the date, and WDWInfo read the same date in the My Disney Experience app on Aug. 31.
• The exit shop closed with it. BlogMickey, reading Disney's operational calendar, reported that "Tiana’s Bayou General will close alongside the attraction." WDW News Today saw the gift shop at the ride's exit closed on Nov. 2.
• Critter Co-Op: BlogMickey reported on Oct. 9 that "Critter Co-Op stays open." WDW News Today saw the shop outside the ride's entrance open on Nov. 2.

When

• Closed: Monday, Nov. 2, 2026.
• Back: Disney says "expected to reopen in December 2026". Its refurbishment calendar lists Friday, Dec. 18, as BlogMickey and Disney Tourist Blog both read it on Oct. 9. That date is not a Disney announcement, and Disney Tourist Blog adds: "As always, refurbishment dates are subject to change".

Where

• Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World. The ride opened on June 28, 2024, replacing Splash Mountain in Frontierland, per BlogMickey.

What it means if you live here

• If you plan to ride it, wait for it to reopen: Disney expects December.
• Check before you go in December: BlogMickey notes the dates "are always subject to change".
