HomeGoods moves its Orlando store from Millenia Plaza to Colonial Plaza Market Center; the new store's page now lists regular hours

HomeGoods' store at 4664 Millenia Plaza Way has moved to Colonial Plaza Market Center. HomeGoods' Grand Openings page said, on Oct. 21: "We're moving to a new location in Colonial Plaza Market Center." By Oct. 30 HomeGoods' own page for the new store listed regular hours every day.

What changed

• A move across town. The store leaves Millenia Plaza, 4664 Millenia Plaza Way, Orlando, FL 32839, for Colonial Plaza Market Center.
• The new space is the former Big Lots in Colonial Plaza. Patch reports the store is moving "into a space formerly occupied by Big Lots," according to Bungalower. In March, GrowthSpotter reported that a sign at the former Big Lots in Colonial Plaza "states that a HomeGoods store is coming soon."
• The old store's page showed it closed. HomeGoods' page for the Millenia Plaza store listed "Closed" for every day, Monday through Sunday, as read Oct. 21, 2026. The same page also carried the move and the Oct. 29 opening.

When

• The new store was set to open Thursday, Oct. 29, 2026, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. HomeGoods' page read, on Oct. 21: "Come visit us on October 29, 2026 from 8am to 10pm for the new store opening!" Patch reported the same date and hours, crediting HomeGoods.
• HomeGoods had said the date could move. Its page said: "*Dates subject to change."
• When the Millenia store closed: no source read gives a date.

Where

• Colonial Plaza Market Center, on East Colonial Drive in Orlando. HomeGoods names the center but gives no street address.
• The address in the reports: Patch gives 2544 E. Colonial Drive, according to Bungalower. GrowthSpotter's article also gives 2544 E. Colonial Drive, while its photo caption gives 2728 E. Colonial Dr.
• Distance: Patch says the new store "is nearly 9 miles away from the original location when taking Interstate 4, according to Google Maps."

Where it stands (Oct. 30, 2026)

• The new store has its own HomeGoods page, with regular hours. The page, titled "Orlando (Colonial)", lists Colonial Plaza Market Center, 2642 East Colonial Drive, Orlando (Colonial), FL 32803, phone 689-342-4404, and 9:30AM-9:30PM for every day, Monday through Sunday. This post is marked in effect on that basis: the operator's own page now posts hours for the store.
• The old store's page address now shows the new store. The Millenia Plaza page address read Oct. 21 (store 0664) now loads the same "Orlando (Colonial)" page, not the all-days-closed Millenia listing.
• The Grand Openings page has not changed. Read on October 30, it still lists Colonial Plaza Market Center, 2642 East Colonial Drive, under "New store opening on October 29, 2026 from 8am to 10pm!" HomeGoods' pages do not say whether the store opened on October 29.
• The street number differs from the earlier reports. HomeGoods lists 2642 East Colonial Drive; Patch (crediting Bungalower) and GrowthSpotter gave 2544.
• No news report that the store opened was found. The Oct. 30 reading is HomeGoods' own pages.

Where it stands (Nov. 3, 2026)

• HomeGoods now lists the store as open. Its Grand Openings page shows "Now Open!" on the Colonial Plaza Market Center listing, and gives no opening date.

What it means if you live here

• Don't head to Millenia Plaza for HomeGoods. HomeGoods' page for that store listed it closed every day on Oct. 21.
• The store is in Colonial Plaza Market Center. HomeGoods' page for it lists 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. every day. Check that page before you go, since store hours can change.
• Opening-day offers: none are listed on HomeGoods' Grand Openings page.

Background

• GrowthSpotter reported the plan in March. It found a City of Orlando permit "for the address listing a change of tenant/tenant improvement for HomeGoods." A map on the Kimco website listed the former Big Lots space at 29,658 square feet, with HomeGoods as tenant.
• No date was given then. A HomeGoods spokesperson, Emma Lapena, said by email in March that the store "will open in the future," and GrowthSpotter wrote that she "did not provide additional details."
• Big Lots, the space's former tenant, "filed for bankruptcy protection in September 2024," GrowthSpotter reported.
• Also reported by MassLive, in a roundup on Yahoo News by Dallas Gagnon, dated Oct. 16, 2026 in the page data, which lists the move and the Oct. 29 opening.
