TAP Air Portugal was scheduled to begin nonstop flights between Lisbon and Orlando International Airport on October 29, three times a week, and FlightAware's log lists the first flight, TAP267, on that date. Orlando International's own list of air service additions shows the route as "New route for MCO" and "Unserved Route", marked "Subject to Government Approval".

What changed

  • A new nonstop: Lisbon (LIS) to Orlando (MCO) on TAP Air Portugal. Simple Flying says it gives TAP "its first-ever nonstop link to Central Florida".
  • The days: Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, as TP267 from Lisbon and TP268 from Orlando.
  • The aircraft: Simple Flying reported that the latest November schedules show TAP's Airbus A330-900neo on all three weekly flights.
  • Orlando becomes TAP's ninth U.S. destination. Its other eight are New York-JFK, Boston, Miami, Washington Dulles, Chicago O'Hare, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Newark.

When

  • First flight: scheduled for October 29, 2026; FlightAware lists a flight that day (see below).
  • Announced: TAP announced the route in a social media post, reported by AirlineGeeks on February 27, 2026.
  • On the airport's schedule: Orlando International's page listed the October 29 date as of September 30, 2026 and still did on October 30. The page also says "all future dates are tentative and may be subject to change."

Where

From Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Lisbon Airport (LIS).

Where it stands (Oct. 30, 2026)

  • FlightAware logs the first flight. Its activity history for TAP267, read at 4:47 a.m. Eastern on Oct. 30, lists one flight: Oct. 29, 2026, Airbus A330-900neo, Humberto Delgado (Lisbon) to Orlando Intl, departing 2:50 p.m. Lisbon time and arriving 7:45 p.m. Eastern, 8 hours 55 minutes. That is the route, the date and the aircraft type this post reported, and the basis for marking it in effect. Simple Flying's schedule had the launch-week arrival at 8:10 PM.
  • The airport's page has not changed. Read Oct. 30, it still lists Lisbon and TAP Air Portugal on October 29 as a new route, with the same approval footnote and tentative-dates note.
  • No news report of the first flight was found. Web searches on Oct. 30 returned only coverage from before the launch; FlightAware's log is the one record of the flight itself.

What it means if you live here

  • The airport's page still carries its caveats. It marks the route "Subject to Government Approval", and calls its future dates tentative.
  • Tickets are on sale. They are bookable on TAP's website for dates beginning October 29.
  • Departure times from Orlando: TP268 normally leaves Orlando at 9:40 PM on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays and reaches Lisbon at 10:30 AM the next day. The October 29 and October 31 launch-week flights arrive in Orlando at 8:10 PM and depart at 10:40 PM.
  • Beyond Lisbon: with Lisbon as TAP's global hub, Orlando passengers gain access to destinations in Europe such as Spain, France, Italy, Germany and the United Kingdom.
  • Fares: none of the four sources gives a fare. Tickets are sold on TAP's website.
  • TAP's own announcement was not checked for this post. It rests on the airport's page and three news reports.
